Another late post... Hopefully I'll catch up soon.
Let me show what I did for this prompt. I started with three coats of Morgan Taylor go for the glow on my thumb and index. On my middle and index I have a coat of China Glaze daisy know my name. On my pinky I have three.
I then did a gradient with go for the glow and daisy know my name on my middle and ring finger.
Once it was dry I added a coat of Sinful Colors holo back over the gradient. Then I added some decals.
What do you think? I love how this turned out! Especially the neon.

#52weeknailchallenge: dotticure
I slightly cheated on this one and didn't do a 'traditional' dotticure, but went with stamping instead. Maybe next year if it's still around...
Let me show you how I cheated. I started with two coats of essence what is this feeling? on my thumb, index and middle finger. On my ring finger and pinky I have two coats of essence creating memories and a coat of Sinful Colors holo back over that.
I then stamped an image from Lina feeling shapely 9 with Mundo de Unas copper, leaving it on my stamper. I then painted creating memories across one half of the image. Once it was dry rolling it onto my nail.
I kinda like how this turned out and I really like how holo back looks. What do you think? It totally counts as a dotticure since there is dots. Creating memories also looks like a completely different polish because of the shades used over it, don't you think?

#52weeknailchallenge: holographic
I find holographic to be a tough prompt. Mostly because I can't seem to photograph it properly and it's more a polish than nail art... I guess the trick is to do something with the polish. Anyway let me show you what I did.
I started with two coats of Pahlish Expelliarmus! on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Catrice good lack!
I then stamped a geometric image from Moyou flower power 22 with Born Pretty navy on my middle finger. On my ring finger I have a similar image but with a flower coloured in with Expelliarmus! from the same plate. I kinda like how this turned out. I wanted to try something different and this is definitely not my style. It's very different to what I normally do. I of course had to add a flash shot to show off how pretty Expelliarmus! is. I wore it by itself prior to doing this mani and I couldn't stop looking at my nails and playing with light shifts. What do you think? Any suggestions on how to photograph holo's properly?

#52weeknailchallenge: paisley
This is one of those prompts where it looked better in my head. It's not a total fail, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted. Let me show you what I did.
I started with two coats of ILNP Mega (L) on all my nails except my pinky which I sponged on some Tip Top snow capped.
I then added some paisley decals. I knew the decals weren't opaque and that's why I opted for a light and a holo base. I was hoping the holo would show through the decal.
Which it sort of does, but not as intensely as I imagined. And it was only obvious in certain light.
What do you think? It's still pretty, but I had higher expectations.

#52weeknailchallenge: blue & purple
So... I did not realise that I'm doing two purple mani's in a row. With my previous one, I was looking at decals, found the one I wanted to use, matched polishes to it and lots of purple was used. Anyway, today more purple was used.
I started with two coats of Catrice plumdogmillionare on my ring and pinky. On my thumb, index and middle finger I have two coats of Sorbet vanilla ice.
I then double stamped two different designs from Creative Shop plate 17 with Moyra 255 (holographic) and Essence prom-berry. And a flash shot to show off the holo.
I really like how this turned out as the hollow was just visible and gave it some extra sparkle.
What do you think?

SA travelling polish box: Heather's pick
Last year a couple of the girls in our Secret Santa group decided to do a travelling polish box and this year I joined in.
What basically happens is one of the ladies will put a box together with nail goodies, she will do a mani with items from the box and send it to the next lady, she will then do a mani and send it on. The box will travel across the country and the last lady gets to keep the goodies. Each of us will get a turn to send a box and keep a box. This time Heather sent the box and I got to keep the box. The other two ladies are Renita and Angela.
Let me show you what I did... I started with two coats of Blush lacquers swingin' at the savoy on my thumb, index and middle finger. On my pinky and ring finger I have two coats of different dimension stars shining bright. SSB is a stunning polish, it's got a slight rose gold touch to it, which you can only see in certain light.

I then added some decals that was also in the box on my middle finger and one on my thumb, that you will be able to see in the last picture. The decal on my middle finger is somewhat holo, but it's only visible while on the card.
And that's that. Super simple and easy. There was also a stamping plate in the box, but I am the decal queen after all, so obviously I opted for that.
What do you think? I can't wait to see what the other ladies did! Just click on their names and it'll take you to their Instagram pages.

#52weeknailchallenge: unused polish
I really need to sit down and start sorting my blog. I'm ahead with the challenge, but behind with the blogging of it.
Let me show you what I did for unused polish, which I have a few of at the moment. I recently got some new pretties. I started with two coats of Fair Maiden polish come what may on my thumb, index finger and pinky. Come what may is actually an one coater! But my nails feel stronger with two coats. On my ring finger I have two coats of OPI Ds Pewter. I got Pewter from Michelle in a previous Secret Santa and have never used it before. I didn't know it was textured! I'll definitely be using it again!

On my middle finger I have two coats of Hean I love Hean 873. I then stamped an image from Lina opposites attract with come what may.
I just love how this came together! I originally did this to test how come what may stamps and its a winner for sure! What do you think?

#52weeknailchallenge: splatter
I had no idea what I wanted to do with this prompt... I have splat decals and I have Lina plates.
So I decided on Lina plates. It just kinda came together but I don't know if it WORKS.
I started with two coats of Pahlish Idris on my thumb and pinky. The rest of them have two coats of a nude HD polish with no name. Can I just say how much I despise polishes that doesn't have a distinctive name or number? I mean it's bad enough when they don't have a name, only a number...
Anyway I then stamped 2 images from Lina make your mark 1 with Mundo de Unas mint and orchid. Then I added as an accent a splat image using Nubar silver mist. A flash shot to show off the holo in Idris.

#52weeknailchallenge: most expensive polish
The question with this prompt is how to interpret it. Do you go with literally your most monetary expensive polish or the one that means the most to you? The one with the most sentimental value.. I decided to go with the latter.
Colors by Llarowe gemini rising was one of my very first Indies and my very first holo and it's green. I don't think I'd be able to replace it if something happens to it, but let me show you what I did with it.
I started with two coats of gemini rising on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Toy apple smoothie.
I then added some green flower water decals I got from Aliexpress.
And a flash shot to show the holo. And that's another super easy mani.
What do you think? Don't you think gemini rising is stunning?

#52weeknailchallenge: zodiac
So this post may be a little late, but I actually forgot that it was ready to be posted!
This prompt had me stumped!!! I googled zodiac and then the Chinese zodiac popped and I had to check under what year I was born and it was DRAGON!! And I was excited because dragon I could do... Aries on the other hand, no, just no.
I started with two coats of perfect chic green olive on my thumb and pinky. My index ring and middle finger has two coats of Moyra Holographic 253. To be honest I didn't like the formula on this, if I went over the same spot twice it dragged the polish, so I had to be super careful.

The dragon I got from stamping plate HêHê 71. I used Nicole Diary stamping polish in black and made a stamping decal. The mouth I coloured in with Tip Top cherries in the snow and the eyes with TT gold mine. For the body I used green olive.
I then double stamped the dragon's body across my nails with TT gold mine and ND black polish. I then used a piece of a sponge to dab on green olive, gold mine and Sinful Colors green ocean under the body.
So there you go... That is my zodiac mani, what do you think? I'm kinda hoping this might be a prompt again next year. Maybe I'll be able to manage Aries then.

BeautyBigBang Review: Peacock holographic powder
I'm finally getting around to posting this review. This is for peacock holographic powder and I chose colour 9A. Let me show you what I did.
I started with two coats of Sinful colors black on black on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Hean I love Hean 902. Once black on black was dry I rubbed in the powder.

On my middle and ring finger I stamped an image from BeautyBigBang plate 16 using the powder. I rubbed the powder onto my stamper and then used essence prom-berry as the stamping polish and picked up the image as normal. Once I stamped it, only the powder that had polish transferred.
I love this powder it has such a gorgeous shift from a green-blue to purple. And it has holo!!
The shift and holo is even obvious on the stamped images. I should mention that on the website they recommend using gel, but I opted for normal polish to see how it works and it works beautifully.
What do you think? You can go directly to BeautyBigBang and have a look what they have and you can use my code SARCA10 for 10% off normal priced items.

Friday Triad: Inspired by Lou Urban nail art
Aaaand I'm back again. Time for our Friday Triad. It was my turn to choose and I was going to pick one of the mani's I had tagged for ages and then this happened. And I knew we had to do it. So this mani is inspired by @urbannailart
I started with three coats of Dollish Polish should I stay or should I go. I then added a coat of Starrily eclipse over it.
In the meanwhile I also made some stamping decals. I used BP-L024 and Nicole diary black stamping polish. I then coloured in the leaves with Moyra holo polish 253 and Sinful Colors savage.
For the flower I used Tip Top heartbreaker and the gold is TT gold mine. Once it was dry I transferred it directly to my nail.
So what do you think? I used should I stay or should I go because it had a shift and I was hoping it would show, but alas. Hence the odd hand poses.
Flash shot to show off the holo and smile at the prettiness.
Don't forget to pop over to Michelle and Joyce and give them some attention.
