Halloween 2019

I almost dated this post 2020, I've been making enquiries into service providers for the wedding and all of them wanted the date, so typing 2020 is so natural right now.

I wanted to do another Halloween mani for this year, since another image on Lina MYM 8 caught my eye while doing the previous one. I started with two coats of China Glaze plur-ple on my thumb, one coat of China Glaze treble maker on my index, middle and ring finger and two coats on my pinky.
I then did a smoosh on my index, middle and ring finger with the two polishes.
Once it was dry I stamped both images from Lina MYM8 with Nicole Diary black. For once the pictures are way brighter than it is in real life. I loved how this turned out. And I'm especially happy with how neon the pictures turned out.
What do you think? Maybe next year I'll actually use the Halloween stamping plate I have!

#52weeknailchallenge: Halloween

Here it is, the first Halloween mani for the year... On one hand I'm kinda bummed that it's not a big thing here, but on the other hand I don't see myself ever dressing up in a costume. At least I can have it on my nails though.

I started with two coats of my early Christmas present from @tehillaleah, ninezero Clover on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Tip Top cool as a cucumber.
On my middle and ring fingers I have a stamped image from Lina Make your mark 8, stamped with Mundo de Unas reddish and coloured in with I love Hean 870.
I sure had a lot of people ask me why I have socks on my nails....  Until they looked closer of course.
Clover is absolutely stunning and I think Heather made a great choice. What do you think? Does it match my zombie feet or not? Probably not....

Thanks for stopping by!

#52weeknailchallenge: dotticure

I slightly cheated on this one and didn't do a 'traditional' dotticure, but went with stamping instead. Maybe next year if it's still around...

Let me show you how I cheated. I started with two coats of essence what is this feeling? on my thumb, index and middle finger. On my ring finger and pinky I have two coats of essence creating memories and a coat of Sinful Colors holo back over that.
I then stamped an image from Lina feeling shapely 9 with Mundo de Unas copper, leaving it on my stamper. I then painted creating memories across one half of the image. Once it was dry rolling it onto my nail.
I kinda like how this turned out and I really like how holo back looks. What do you think? It totally counts as a dotticure since there is dots.
Creating memories also looks like a completely different polish because of the shades used over it, don't you think?

Friday Triad: Inspired by @polishpixie92

Don't you just hate how the last Friday of the month sneaks up on you? I mean there I was laying in bed, about to continue reading my book, checking my emails and one from Michelle pops up reminding us about our Triad posts. Damn....

So here I am, no longer warm and comfortable, typing my post! Anyway, enough of that, if I finish this I might have some time left to read something.

This month was Michelle's turn and she chose something non Halloween, shock and horror right?? Our inspo is this mani done by @polishpixie92 Seems easy enough. Let me show you my version.

I started with two coats of Cirque acid wash on my index and middle finger. The rest has two coats of Catrice the sky so fly.
I then chose an image from Moyou flower power 23 and using Born Pretty navy picked the image up leaving it on my stamper. So four stampers later, I used sky so fly and painted one side of the image.
Once it was dry I rolled the image onto my nails. I then stamped the middle of the lines with BPS navy, filling in the gap. I didn't quite line it up, so don't look to closely!
What do you think? I kinda like how this turned out. Maybe I should have used some other colours too, but I didn't think of that.

Don't forget to have a look what Joyce and Michelle did, I bet they totally nailed it. Even with Joyce doing a midnight mani.

#52weeknailchallenge: stars

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do for this prompt, but I browsed Pinterest and combined a couple of things I saw.

I started with two coats of Fairmaiden come what may on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of China Glaze I'll sand by you.
I then stamped the stars from Lina feeling shapely 9 with Nicole Diary black.
I then added OPI matte top coat.
I just love how this turned out. I especially love the matte version.
What do you think? Which is your favourite?

#52weeknailchallenge: newspaper

Can you believe that in all the time I have been doing nails, I have never done newspaper nails! So this is a good time to give it a go.

I started with 3 coats of Hean I love Hean 873 on all my nails. I'm fairly certain when I used this polish the first time I didn't need 3 coats... Does this happen to you too?
I then took some newspaper clippings, put it on my nail and put a cotton pad soaked in alcohol over the clipping. Here I learned something, don't do it that way! When I place the cotton pad over the clipping it moves, and makes the transfer skew. I then put the clipping on the pad and then placed it on my nail and this worked much better.
I then added some decals.
What do you think? I think the decals hide the print quite a bit and I'm not there yet for me to freehand the flowers.

#52weeknailchallenge: smoosh

Wedding plans are in full swing at the moment. And I keep having to check that I'm not forgetting something. And since everything is basically costing an arm and a leg, no more pretties for me until then.

For today's mani I wanted to have some contrasting colours. So I started with a coat of Toy apple smoothie on all my nails, not worrying about opacity as I was going to smoosh over it.
I then blobbed apple smoothie, Color Club wild cactus and Fair maiden come what may on a stamper and smooshed it on my nails. Adding some more polish as I went along.
I'm quite happy with how this turned out. I had a couple of people ask me how I did it and a couple more compliments. What do you think? Should I have added something?
