#52weeknailchallenge: hearts

I'm glad that we don't have a valentine's day prompt for this year, but I'm not too happy about this one either. I generally have all these ideas I want to use, but I can't seem to pull it together. And that frustrates me. But let me show you what I did.

I started with two coats of Starrily gamma ray on my thumb and index finger. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of China Glaze let's chalk about it. And lastly, on my pinky I have two coats of Hean 852 sugar.
I then stamped some hearts from Lina @shannasnailadventures colab with BPS gold polish and Nicole Diary NS05.
Top coated and that's that. I do like how this turned out. I feel like it's missing something though, but I didn't want to mess with it.
What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Triad: Inspired by Lou Urban nail art

Aaaand I'm back again. Time for our Friday Triad. It was my turn to choose and I was going to pick one of the mani's I had tagged for ages and then this happened. And I knew we had to do it. So this mani is inspired by @urbannailart

I started with three coats of Dollish Polish should I stay or should I go. I then added a coat of Starrily eclipse over it.
In the meanwhile I also made some stamping decals. I used BP-L024 and Nicole diary black stamping polish. I then coloured in the leaves with Moyra holo polish 253 and Sinful Colors savage.
For the flower I used Tip Top heartbreaker and the gold is TT gold mine. Once it was dry I transferred it directly to my nail.
So what do you think? I used should I stay or should I go because it had a shift and I was hoping it would show, but alas. Hence the odd hand poses.
Flash shot to show off the holo and smile at the prettiness.
Don't forget to pop over to Michelle and Joyce and give them some attention.

#52weeknailchallenge: Valentine's day

I know I said that I didn't do anything for this prompt in my previous post, but I decided to share what I was wearing. I think red holo does count.
This is two coats of Hean I love Hean 424 and a holo top coat.
I was planning on only wearing 424, but I wanted some sparkle. So I added one coat of Starrily eclipse.
Flash shot for the holo and I think I should mention these pics were taking with three days of wear. Even now almost a week later, I'm impressed with the lack of tip wear (except for Cindy) and it still shines.
So what do you think?

#52weeknailchallenge: pink & purple

Here we are at the beginning of a New Year and this is normally where something profound would be said, but I have nothing... It's just another year with resolutions being made and almost instantly being broken. I did see something that stuck with me though.
Anyway, besides the beginning of a New Year, it's also the start of a fresh 52 week challenge. @polish_portfolio did this years one through a group effort and hopefully there will be more people joining in this year. There's some new and combined prompts, some ones that have me thinking WTF?! and ones I look forward to.
Jumping straight in we start with pink and purple. I really need to start noting which white polishes I use! I have two coats of some random white polish on my middle and ring finger and I didn't note which one. On my pinky I have two coats of Hean 280 from the jungle pop collection. My thumb and index two coats of Starrily gamma ray.
First up, I have to note the difference in concentration of holo in the two polishes. Compared to gamma ray, it doesn't even look like 280 is holo at all. The flowers I stamped with my essence black stampy polish and coloured it in with the two holo's.
Flash shot to show off the holo and sadly again notice the difference between the two.
What do you think? Once I finished the mani, there wasn't much of a difference between the two polishes, but I was done with it and it was pink and purple, so....
Thanks for reading and thanks for sticking with me!

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a video tutorial

My post is a little late today, because I haven't been feeling to great. But it's here now. Let me know what you think.

I learned something when doing this... Do NOT make decals the day before using them. They are too dry and hard then. Also don't try it when you in a rush. But it wasn't a complete fail.

I saw this tutorial by @clairestelle8 and I wanted to do something similar. So I started with two coats of Sinful Colors rise and shine on my thumb, two coats of SC dream on on my pinky, two coats of Starrily magic rainbow on my index and ring finger and lastly, a coat of SC snow me white on my middle finger.
For the horrid decals I used the same image Claire did from BP-L003 and essence stampy polish in white. The decals I used on my index and ring finger is coloured in with rise and shine and dream on alternating the colours. The decals on my middle finger I coloured in with Starrily magic rainbow.
I attempted to do a gradient on my middle finger, which since I was in a rush is not that great, because I first tried it with a sponge but then switched over to a fan brush as I didn't have the patience for multiple spongings.
So what do you think? It kinda grew on me, but it's not my best work.

#52weeknailchallenge: holographic

I started with two coats of Essence pink & perfect on my thumb and pinky. My index, middle and ring finger has two coats of Starrily magic rainbow.
For the gradient I stuck 1000 butterflies vinyl from Cherry Blossom Store to my Simply Neat miracle mat and used Essence red rocks, pink & perfect and the masked ball. I used a scraper to level the polish and create the gradient.
Once it was semi dry I painted a coat of clear polish over it, waited for it to dry and then peeled it off to place it on my nails.
Top coated after that. I really like how this turned out. And of course the flash shot just to show off the holo.
What do you think?

Thanks for reading guys!

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a fictional character

Ah man I am so annoyed with myself, I had this post ready for some time and I just never posted it. So here it is, very late.

I started with two coats of Starrily bioluminesence.
And since this is a holo polish, here is the flash shot.
First I just added some silver bubbles that I stamped using plate hehe 60 and nubar silver mist.
I then added a stamping decal a couple of days later as I wanted to add the character that I had in mind.
So that is Ponyo, from the movie with the same name. You can't really see the face very well, but my polish I used for the stamping was not quite opaque. I used Tip Top mango tango for Ponyo and then coloured in her dress with essence santa baby and she is coloured in with I love Hean 871 from the pastel collection.
Ponyo is one of my favourite Studio Ghibli movies. She starts out as a fish that wants to be human and her dad, a wizard, voiced by none other than Liam Neeson, makes that happen in the end, all because of love.
What do you think? It could have been worse... Yip that's me looking on the bright side.
