Friday Triad: Inspired by Pshiiit

So we back with another Friday Triad and this time round it was Joyce's turn to choose our inspiration. So she chose this mani done by Pshiiit. Thank goodness this was a picture tutorial as it's in french!! But also thank goodness for google translate! The only trouble I had was the polishes.

I started with a coat of Essence play with my mint on all my nails. I then used Sinful Colors rise and shine, piCture pOlish escapades and Parental Advisory Polish happy ending.
I didn't use a stamper to smoosh it, as I every time I've tried it I didn't get the desired effect. Once I did all my nails I top coated for vinyls. I didn't have a lot of shimmery polishes, so I settled for happy ending to add that little extra.
I used different vinyls too from the original. The black is Essence black is back. So this was awesome. I enjoyed looking at my nails and catching a glimpse of shimmer, but nothing over the top.
What do you guys think? I can't wait to see what the other ladies have come up with and now it's time to start thinking and working on the next Triad! It's Michelle's turn to choose and I know it will be a goodie.

Thanks for stopping by!!

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a blogger

So me sitting down and thinking: 'what would Cassis P do?' totally counts right? Right? Well it kinda has to. This isn't inspired by a specific design, but more by her techniques.

I started by painting coats of essence absolute pure on my miracle mat and then stamping with Nubar silver mist and BP-L003. Once that was dry I painted a coat of OPI eurso euro, Hean City Fashion 43 and Essie leggy legend over each of the stamped images. Once that was dry, I peeled them up and trimmed them down to shape.
My base is two coats of I love Hean 873 from the pastel collection. On my index finger I placed eurso euro, middle finger is essie and thumb and ring finger is CF 43.
On my pinky I made two small dots with eurso euro. I liked this mani while I was wearing it, but the question is, does it pass?
What do you guys think? I'll be back again on Friday for our Triad post, so see you guys then.

Thanks for reading!

#52weeknailchallenge: valentine's day

Happy Valentine's day I guess... I'm not very excited by this, since it's just a normal day. I still have to work and deal with shit.

Anyway, first up I have a swatch for you. This is I love Hean 876 from the pastel collection.
Two coats and no top coat. It's a little thin on the first coat but it levels nicely. This is a very pretty pink!
I then used some ziggy zaggy vinyls from becauseishop and I love Hean 877 also from the pastel collection on my index, middle and ring fingers. Removing the vinyls immediately while the polish was still wet. I then top coated my middle finger as I was going to use another vinyl.
On my index and ring finger I added some decals I got some time ago from BPS. On my middle finger I used a stencil from Revlon and SC snow me white. I added some decals over that too.
I can't believe we up to week 7 of the 52 week challenge already. Mind you this month is already on it's last legs.
What do you think of my valentine's day mani? I know this one passes, but what's your opinion?

Thanks for stopping by!

#52weeknailchallenge: glitter

I wanted to post this yesterday already, but BF was using the laptop... Kinda hard when we have to share. This weeks prompt is glitter. I've been wanting to use piCture pOlish's Minty for quite some time now and I thought it would be perfect for this.
This is a very pretty polish, but a little too thick for my liking. Even after using Seche Restore. So I'm sporting two coats of minty on my index, middle and ring finger. On my thumb and pinky is two coats of Essence Santa Baby. While that was drying I laid down some aztec swirl vinyls from becauseishop on my miracle mat.

Here I alternated santa baby and SC snow me white. Peeled the vinyls immediately and waited for it to dry. Then I painted a coat of Essence absolute pure over it. Waited for that to dry and then peeled it off and stuck it over minty.
I meant for the glitters of minty to be slightly more visible but that didn't quite work out.
But it does kinda look like mint swirls and that was what I was hoping for. Candy is always good right?
What do you guys think? It's not quite as glittery as I wanted and if you really wanna be specific it's not even a glitter polish, but a crelly (thanks Michelle :P)
