Friday Triad: Inspired by Olga (@son_nail)

It's that time again! I can't believe we at the end of another month. I wonder how many Triad posts we have done already...

So this month it was my turn and I chose this mani done by @son_nail. I had loads of floral and negative space looks saved as inspiration, but I didn't want to do floral and not everyone likes negative space... So I chose the least offensive one! 

I started with two coats of Cirque Colors pebble on my thumb, index and middle finger. My pinky has one coat of Sorbet chic me baby.

On my ring finger I have two coats of a random HD polish. The aztec design (thanks Mich)(now you know where it's from), is decals from Aliexpress.

The leaves I stamped with Munde de Unas caramel from Lina Summer 2. So whilst doing this, I realised that I can't place decals in a straight line.... Even when I use my clear stamper!! 

I do like how this turned out, but I don't love it... It doesn't quite grab me like the original did. I think I should have used a different colour on my ring finger. What do you think?

#52weeknailchallenge: smoosh

I think smoosh-ing is one of the easiest ways to get a pretty design without a lot of effort. I originally wanted to do a pink or purple smoosh and then thought of my colleague and knew she would have wanted blue, so I did blue.

I started with a coat of Loreal french riviera on all my nails, not worrying about the opacity as I knew I was doing a smoosh. For the smoosh itself I used Moonflower polish hope of the brave, OPI dining al frisco and Nubar silver mist.

When that was somewhat drier I added a coat of Tip Top rocky road and top coated. I kinda like how this turned out. Hope of the brave and rocky road adds just enough sparkle.

What do you think? I can't decide if this makes me think of a blue galaxy or stormy waters.

#52weeknailchallenge: favourite villain

"Off with their head!!!"

This is one of those prompts of do I or don't I. We recently watched Alice in Wonderland: Through the looking glass, so I decided to do the Queen of Hearts as my villain. And I feel like it's a bit of a fail...

I started with two coats of Sorbet flash the fireman on my pinky and thumb.This is actually a one coater, but I added another. On my index, middle and ring finger I have two coats of Catrice good lack!

While that was drying I placed some heart vinyls on my Simply Neat miracle mat and filled them in with flash the fireman. I also made a stamping decal from Moyou London Alice in Wonderland 2, the Queen's head, I stamped it with Nicole Diary black. I coloured in her hair with flash the fireman, her face with Hean I love Hean 904, her cape with Ulta3 black satin and her crown with OPI oy-another polish joke!

When that was all dry I used my clear stamper to place it. The reason why I think it's a bit of a fail is because no one recognised it. Not that I can always expect people to know it.

#52weeknailchallenge: paisley

So Spring has sprung and along with it seasonal allergies, red eyes and snotty noses, nothing to be excited about. Unless you one lucky devil to not suffer from allergies.

I was somewhat excited for this prompt as I had decals that would be perfect for this. The only problem was finding a polish that would match!

I started with two coats of Sinful Colors rise and shine on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Hean City Fashion white.

Once it was dry I added my decals and top coated.

And that's that. Easy peasy. What do you think?

#52weeknailchallenge: spring

I did this mani ages ago, but never got around to posting it. This was somewhat inspired by @melcisme, not any specific mani, but just in general.

I started with two coats of Orly two HR-lunch on my thumb, index and pinky. On my ring finger I have two coats of Catrice goldbusters.

On my middle finger I have a coat of Hean city fashion white and a full nail floral decal from Aliexpress.

The stud is also from Aliexpress. I feel like I should have mattified this, or something.

What do you think? I'm trying to do more nail art that's not typically me. Not quite sure if it's working!!
