Friday Triad: Inspired by Paulina's Passions

It's that time of the month again... I can't believe how quickly this month has gone. Mind you, I have been working two weekends in a row and I'm getting ready for my third one. This month it was Michelle's turn  to choose our inspiration and she chose this mani done by @paulinaspassions

When I first saw it I was like 'What the hell is she thinking?', then I remembered we only have to be inspired and we don't have to recreate.... So let me show you what I did.

I started with two coats of 3ina 186 on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle and ring finger I have two coats of Ulta3 black satin.
For the yellow flower I used Seche perfectly poised and my smallest dotting tool, I then made a smaller black dot in the middle with black satin. The hibiscus is stamped from Konad stamping plate 35 with Mundo de Unas orchid.
The leaves is from Lina Summer 3. I used the layerable images for this and stamped it with Mundo green, forest and avocado.
What do you think? I kinda like how this turned out. Somewhat similar to the original but totally different. I can't wait to see what the other two did. So do head on over to Michelle and Joyce to see how they interpreted it.
Thanks for reading!!

  1. I love it! It looks so happy and bright but not so much that it blinds me... And did you notice it matches your ring? Definitely a winner :)

  2. Wow I love this! It's so summery and spring and fresh. You did a great job and I am so glad the inspo didn't frighten everyone off. I wish I had veered off from the original a bit more but eh, at least I didn't have to freehand :D

    1. I think you did great translating all that freehand into stamping only. And it was a little scary in the beginning.
