I'm playing catch up again. You know when life happens I sometimes forget I have a blog. So this is last weeks prompt. And later this week I'll have this week's which is orange.
Just so you guys know... I am not very fashionable. I love my jeans and rarely wear dresses and stuff. So for this prompt I went to Google and hit search for fashion. Now, I can't remember if it was 2016 or 2017, but this specific year had loads of florals. Like flowers from top to bottom. Very scary.
I decided to keep it simple. I started with two coats of Tip Top jade in the shade (only because it was standing on my table) on my thumb and pinky. The rest of my nails have one coat. I only painted one coat because I was going to use decals.
In hindsight I should have used a lighter base, the darker base just makes the florals appear darker too. I also wanted to do one nail half and half, but I forgot.
I placed a rectangular gold stud that I got from Aliexpress on my middle finger when I top coated.
I kinda like how it turned out... And I keep telling myself to stop using full nail decals, but I never listen to myself.
What do you think? Would you wear my nails?

Friday Triad: Inspired by Vernimage
It's Triad time again! Today's mani was chosen by Joyce and she chose this mani by @vernimage.
I started with two coats of Tip Top Moonshine on my thumb, index and middle finger. My ring finger has one coat of Sinful Colors snow me white. On my pinky is two coats of Nubar reclaim.
I did the gradient on my ring finger using snow me white and Tip Top it's lime time. For the flowers I used essence black stampy polish and BP-L026. I then colored it in using reclaim and moonshine.
I had some trouble picking up the image, as it's on the corner of the stamping plate and I had to scrape in multiple directions before the polish was evenly spread. And the edges of the images felt sharp. If that makes any sense.
Anyway, that's my triad mani. To be honest I don't like it. I feel like I should have done something different. And not have copied the original, but I guess what I think is not really important. What you think is? So what do you think?
Don't forget to head over and give Michelle and Joyce some love.
Thanks for stopping by.

#52weeknailchallenge: ombre
I can't believe it's week 33 already. I know we tend to complain when time drags and when it goes too quickly, but sheez where has the time gone!!
If you remember some weeks back to a Friday Triad where I didn't mention too much about my base for the nail art, this is the prompt I was waiting for.
I mentioned in a previous post that I wasn't too sure about what colours to use and Joyce came to my rescue in two ways. Firstly by giving me the colour scheme and secondly by teaching me what an ombre is, because I thought ombre and gradient, same thing...
So let me teach you too... Gradient is blending colours on one nail. An ombre is, for example, going from a dark colour to a light colour across all your nails. I hope that makes sense. Anyway...
From my index (remember my thumb betrayed me) to my pinky:
What do you think? After I finished I felt that I should have swopped island hopping and jade in the shade... But I didn't feel like doing it again. And here's a quick look at the art I added.

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a tv show
Happy Women's day. I hope everyone is going to have a nice relaxing day. Do think of me though, as I'll be at work for the first half of the day.
So, TV show... I had no idea what to do for this prompt. I was clueless... BF was trying to (not) be helpful and mentioned almost every series I've watched and I had a problem with them all. Yes, sure let's paint a stargate on my nails... Or Baby...
Instead I started by painting 3 coats of Hean City Fashion 61 on my index, middle and ring finger. My thumb and pinky has two coats of Essence a hint of love.
On my pinky I stamped the dots with Essence stampy polish in white and plate RuiZ03 from BPS. On my middle finger I stamped the bow from the same plate with Nicole Diary NS05.
On my index and middle fingers I added some Minnie Mouse decals that I got from Aliexpress.
So that is my take on a TV show. I miss all those old cartoons that came on on Sunday afternoons. These new ones are not my scene. What do you think? I nailed it right?

#52weeknailchallenge: yellow
I wanted to post this yesterday already, but then our internet connection decided to go all funny and I couldn't finish the post. Hence you getting it today.
So yellow... I googled yellow mani's, chose a couple I liked and did something similar.
I started with two coats of Hean City Fashion 171 on my thumb and pinky. My index and ring finger has two coats of 172 and my middle finger one coat of Sinful Colors snow me white.
On my middle finger I did a gradient with 171 and 172. Once that was dry I added some feather decals from BPS.
Top coated and that was it. What do you think? I can't seem to get a nice gradient around my cuticle, I always seem to end up with a white line... No matter how careful I am with the latex.
