#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a book

OMG you guys, I completely forgot to post this last week. So here is my quick catch up. I had an idea in mind for what book I wanted to use as my inspiration but it didn't quite work out. So when I mentioned my lack of anything book to our Friday Triad group, Joyce came up with the best idea ever. The newspaper transfer thingy...

Obviously I had no newspaper at the time so I settled for this...I started with two coats of Ulta3 lily white on all my nails. I then took a piece of sponge and sponged on Tip Top toasted nuts.
The image I stamped is from BP-76 and I used Sorbet chic me baby.
Once that was dry I top coated and then added a coat of OPI matte top coat. I kinda like how this turned out... It felt like pages from a book and had that brown colour most books have.
What do you think? And thanks for the idea Joyce!

Thanks for stopping by!!

#52weeknailchallenge: purple

I can't believe we are almost half way through the challenge. Year is half way done.

For the purple prompt I wanted to do a gradient, but first I have a swatch for you. This is two coats of I love Hean 903 from the winter collection. Well I think it's the winter collection...
This is a very pale lilac. And almost seems dirty.
For the gradient I used Tip Top surfer girl, grape dance and purple bow peep.
It's a little bumpy, but I didn't put top coat on yet. Once that was semi dry I added some flower decals from aliexpress.
I really liked this gradient.
I'm kinda bummed about the lines that showed after the decals. I should have top coated before the decal and I've told myself that so many times, but I keep forgetting.
What do you think?

Thanks for reading!

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a game aka gambling

I had no idea what I was going to do for this prompt and I was checking out my stamping plates to find some inspiration. So I settled on HeHe 54 which had an image of playing cards and decided that was going to my theme. Playing cards.

I started with two coats of I love Hean 424 on all my fingers except my middle finger, which has two coats of Ulta3 lily white. I then stamped the clover image from BP-63 on all my fingers except my middle with Nubar silver mist.
While all of that was drying I made decals from the playing card image with essence stampy polish black and Sinful Colors snow me white. For my middle finger I made a decal from plate BP-63. The yellow is Hean City Fashion 171 and the red is Essence santa baby.
Once the decals was dry I put them on my clear stamper and then placed them on my nails, to avoid bubbles and to get them where I wanted them.
What do you think? Does this pass for a game? When I showed BF he said it's not a game, it's gambling... But hey, even that is technically a game?

Thanks for reading!!

#52weeknailchallenge: holographic

I started with two coats of Essence pink & perfect on my thumb and pinky. My index, middle and ring finger has two coats of Starrily magic rainbow.
For the gradient I stuck 1000 butterflies vinyl from Cherry Blossom Store to my Simply Neat miracle mat and used Essence red rocks, pink & perfect and the masked ball. I used a scraper to level the polish and create the gradient.
Once it was semi dry I painted a coat of clear polish over it, waited for it to dry and then peeled it off to place it on my nails.
Top coated after that. I really like how this turned out. And of course the flash shot just to show off the holo.
What do you think?

Thanks for reading guys!
