Hean nail polish: City Fashion 10t (Black)

I decided to give scribbled nails another go... And I much prefer my previous try. I had a very sheer metallic looking pink that I thought would look rather cool over black. But alas, not as cool as I thought.
This is two coats of City Fashion 10t (the opposite of 0t)(and really, call it black already).
There isn't much to say about blacks are there? It's black, what more do you need?
I used City Fashion 24 for the scribbled detail. I waited for the decals to dry, stuck them on while my base was slightly tacky and top coated. Sometimes if my base is too dry, I then just add a couple of dry brush strokes with a clear polish. Just so there's something for the decal to stick to.
I decided to mattify it and I can't decide which one I like better. It kinda looks like granite... What do you think? Shine or matte?

Neon gradient

I really need to start doing my posts a little earlier or maybe I need to be a little more organised. I wanted to do this last night, but BF was playing online and I didn't want to interfere with his internet connection. Anyway, this is the last of my neon mani's.
I started with a white base and for that I used City Fashion white. I then attempted to do a circular gradient using I love Hean neon 893 in the middle, 895 and then 892 at the outside edge. It didn't quite work the way I wanted, maybe my colours were too similar, but you can see it a little on my middle finger.
I think I need to try these again a some time. Maybe with a different selection of colours. What do you think? So if you wanted any of these neons, I'm sure you can pre-order them from Glamore Cosmetics, as they ran out of stock very quickly when they got these the last time.
When it was all dry I wanted to add a little something to it, since I felt it missed something. So I decided on these cute little swirls from Becauseishop and some holo. Holo makes everything better right?? I used Nubar Brilliant, it is a pink holo but so so sheer. It might as well be a holo topcoat.
I just painted one coat over the swirly vinyl on my index and ring finger and one coat on my middle finger. Barely there, but it looks amazing in the sun. So what do you think of my end result? It would have been better of with some stamping, right Joyce? ;)

Smooshed neons

This has been such a bad week... People have been sick, people have been off, I've been working myself sick (yes I now have a cold), I have two nails that are tearing and I haven't had anytime to do my nails! Now that is just freaking sad. And I've been feeling like a popsicle. Work is the worst place to be in this weather. People leave the door open, want hulle is in 'n stal gebore (they were born in a barn) and all the cold air comes inside. Rant over, sort of.

While I was swatching the Hean neons I was thinking of something to do with them and I went completely blank. So I just decided to do a smoosh mani. It's one of those things that you just can't mess up. Because it is a mess.
I used City Fashion white as a base. I then blobbed 890, 891, 892, 893 & 895 randomly on my nails and smooshed it. I somehow missed 894, it was obviously hiding somewhere.
I like how this turned out. Some places it almost looks like smoke, well besides the colour... What do you think? Yes, no, maybe?
I don't know if I'm going to be swatching the Pastel collection anytime soon with my nails tearing. It's almost like I have two or three months of good nails then they tear, another month or so to grow back and so the cycle goes.

I love Hean: Neon Collection

It completely sucks when work interferes with my posting. I meant to finish this post last Thursday, but I had such a migraine that I had no energy to do it. I was also supposed to be off Friday, but most of my colleagues decided to be off sick. So who do they ask to staand in, because no one else is reliable? Anyway, rant over.

I'm doing things slightly different this time. Instead of showing you one swatch at a time, I'm showing you all of them and then I'll be doing a couple of posts with some nail art using the neons. Just a note, in all the swatches I'll be wearing a white base on my index and ring finger. The others won't have a base. So you can see the difference between the two.
First up, 890. This is three coats except on the fingers that has a base. Those are only two coats. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of yellow neons, they always require too many coats to be opaque. But it is fun to wear.
Next up, 891.
So it's no secret that green is my favourite colour and this one is no exception. But I was expecting a little more on this one. I was expecting something along the lines of I Love Hean 809 (swatch). Anyway, this is two coats all round.
Next, 892.
OMG this is so freaking orange, it hurts your eyeballs! Again two coats.
Next, 893.
I was slightly confused between this colour and the next... Is this one a coral or a salmon? Again two coats.
Next, 894.
So, salmon or coral? Again two coats.
And last up is 895.
Finally the pink has shown up. This is also two coats.
And that is the Neon collection for you... I would suggest using a white base for all of them, it just makes the colours pop more. What I have noticed is that these don't dry to that beautiful shiny finish all the other Hean's do. They dry to a semi matte finish, but from what I've seen on other blogs, that is the norm for neons. So the question is, do you need them? And the answer is, HELL YEAH. If you don't know by now, just click the Glamore Cosmetics banner or the link and it will take you to their shop.
