Sheer watermarble

Okay, so I meant to post this yesterday already, but when I sat down the other night to do it, my internet sadistically told me I don't have data left. So I just put the laptop off and went to bed. And BF was like, why don't you use your phone? And I was like, damn oh well screw that, I'll do it tomorrow.

Anyway, I was hoping for something different when I did this mani. I was hoping that the two colours I used would pop over a black base.... Sadly to say it didn't.
I started with one coat of my lazy black polish. It's actually supposed to be a dark blue, but one coat and it's black. My colleague got me this polish from Avon, it's called Antarctic, she mainly got it because it showed blue in the book and she loves blue. Anyway, I digress.
The polishes I used for the marble is both Hean City Fashion's, 26 and 6b. Okay, my marble is not that great, but I was hoping for a bit more colour.
As you can see it is two very different colours, but they are super sheer. The pink one is 26 and obviously the purple is 6b. I did swatch these, so if you want to see the swatches let me know. When I was wearing them my colleagues actually thought that they were the same polish. And I think I was wearing three coats of each. If you like these though, you can get them from Glamore Cosmetics

Anyway, what do you think? It was an interesting mani and people actually asked me if I marbled... Thank goodness for simply peel. Although I still ended up with polish everywhere.

Thanks for reading.

Rosey escapades

I didn't have anything specific in mind when I started this mani. It kinda just flowed. I started with two coats of piCture pOlish Escapades on my middle finger, thumb and pinky. On my index and ring finger I have a coat of Essence Absolute Pure. I wanted a negative space look, but without a coat of polish my nails feel to thin.
The roses is from hehe 068. On my index and ring finger I stamped with Essence stampy polish in black and on my middle finger I stamped with Essence stampy polish in white. I topcoated my index and ring fingers and once it was dry used V vinyls to create the negative space.
I kinda wish that the black was a bit darker and maybe I shouldn't have stamped the white, but oh well. I liked this mani.
What do you think? I really like Escapades. It's a beautiful colour.

Monochrome Valentine's Day

Happy belated Valentine's day. Did everyone enjoy it? Spent it with someone special. In my case, my someone special was work and then my bed. It's great fun being sick. I did manage to pull off a valentine mani being sick and all.

I started with one coat of SC Black on Black on my pinky and thumb. The rest is two coats of SC Snow me White.
I used a swirly heart vinyl on my middle finger and heart stencils on my index and ring finger. I sponged on SC Black on Black and used simply peel for easy clean up.
The stencils are slightly bigger than my nails, so I cut it down to size and the little hearts that were left I used to make white heart decals on my miracle mat. It was fun.
So what do you think of my monochrome look? And what do you think of my mat?
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Blue saran wrap

When I did my PINK holo heartbeat mani, my colleagues first response to it was "it's not blue". So I decided to do another saran wrap, but this time only using blue.

I was struggling with which blues to use, so I ended up only using Hean's. 277 & 278 from the jungle pop collection and 466 from the I love Hean collection.
And my colleague loved it! And Gael from Glamore Cosmetics loved it too because she too likes blue. And I'm sure because I used Hean's (nudge nudge).
When I was busy taking pictures, with the light shining off it, I thought it looked like the inside of an abelone shell. Pretty.
In hindsight I think I should have made my bottom coat more opaque, but I only painted one coat. I didn't have much time, but it wasn't super obvious. What do you think?

I also finally got my miracle mat from blisskiss!! Whoop Whoop. Can't wait to test it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Whatever!

I meant to post this yesterday, but I spent most of Sunday in bed. This weekend was a very miserable one for me as I felt real crap. So as I'm sure you can tell from my title, I was feeling very whatever when I did this mani. It's a bit of an anti-Valentine mani.

I just did it for the sake of having something on my nails.
I have two coats of Tip Top Broken Soul on my ring finger and the rest is Blueberry Pie.
I stamped using Nubar Silver Mist and BP-L012. I've always wanted to use the "whatever" and now I finally have. It's very sheer but I couldn't have it too obvious for work. I might want to wave my hand in the patient's face when they give me a hard time LoL
I used silver striping tape for the accent and just trimmed the edges. For some reason that always got peoples attention. What do you think of this "whatever" mani? Is it "whatever" enough?

Hazed Desire

I wish it was weekend already. I've been feeling a bit sick this week and work has been a nightmare, so I can't wait to catch up on my sleep. And not feel like death warmed up. Anyway, today's mani can be considered a Valentine's mani because of the polish.
I've been wanting to do a matte/shiny combination and I finally got around to it. My new polishes were just standing on my table and piCture pOlish Desire and Sinful Colors Hazed were standing next to each other and they just seemed to go together so well.
So I started with two coats of Desire on all my fingers except my middle finger which is sporting three coats of Hazed. I top coated Desire and waited for it to dry, once it was dry I used some vinyls I got from We Heart Nail Art. And painted a thick coat of Hazed.
Good thing I used two purples. As you can see Desire changed the shade of Hazed slightly. I kinda like how this came out. Of course I had a different picture in mind, but I will try this combo again. Desire is such a beautiful polish and I think the name is totally Valentine appropriate. What do you think?

Holo heartbeat

So today's mani wasn't quite what I wanted and I ended up covering up my oops. But it worked. So I started with two coats of Catrice Crushed Crystals Shooting Star on my pinky. One coat of Hean Jungle Pop #274 on my thumb and middle finger.
I topcoated my middle finger as I wanted to use vinyls. I used a skinny heartbeat vinyl from TwinkledT and painted a thick coat of Hean Ordinary Misfit.
I wanted to stamp with Hean #274, but it didn't work. So I ended up doing a saran wrap on my index and ring finger with Ordinary Misfit and #274.
I love these saran wraps. They so easy and the end effect is awesome. So this is my first Valentines mani for the year. When my colleague saw this, her response was, "why isn't it blue?" So I guess I'm gonna have to do a blue saran wrap at some stage. What do you think?
