#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a fictional character

Ah man I am so annoyed with myself, I had this post ready for some time and I just never posted it. So here it is, very late.

I started with two coats of Starrily bioluminesence.
And since this is a holo polish, here is the flash shot.
First I just added some silver bubbles that I stamped using plate hehe 60 and nubar silver mist.
I then added a stamping decal a couple of days later as I wanted to add the character that I had in mind.
So that is Ponyo, from the movie with the same name. You can't really see the face very well, but my polish I used for the stamping was not quite opaque. I used Tip Top mango tango for Ponyo and then coloured in her dress with essence santa baby and she is coloured in with I love Hean 871 from the pastel collection.
Ponyo is one of my favourite Studio Ghibli movies. She starts out as a fish that wants to be human and her dad, a wizard, voiced by none other than Liam Neeson, makes that happen in the end, all because of love.
What do you think? It could have been worse... Yip that's me looking on the bright side.

Thanks for reading guys!!

#52weeknailchallenge: silver

I am a little late with this post, but hey I'm still on time. This mani was inspired by this one done by Michelle. Ever since I saw this one, I've wanted to stamp silver over a black matte.
I started with two coats of essence the black cat on all my nails. I then stamped it with Nubar silver mist and an image off BP-L007.
There isn't really much to say about this... But you can tell me what do you think of this?
Thanks for reading!!

Friday Triad: Inspired by Olivia Jade Nails

First off... Happy bday to me!! I'll be having loads of fun today. NOT. I am working the whole day long. Whole day.

Anyway, so it's time for our Friday Triad with Michelle and Joyce. Today's post was chosen by Michelle and the inspiration comes from this post, the fourth mani.

So I was torn on what stamping plate I wanted to use and what image. I had a few to choose from, but I decided in the end to go with my original idea. So I settled for HeHe 63. I started with two coats of I love Hean 891 from the neon collection on my pinky and thumb. On my index, middle and ring finger I have two coats of Hean City Fashion white.
Once that was dry, I stamped using essence stampy polish in black and stamped the big flower design. I top coated that to not smear the stamp. I then used Hean 223 (lethal lemonade) from the summer collection for the centre of the flower. And Tip Top sexy bikini for the rest. I watered the polish down with some Seche Restore, which I think I should have used a little more...
BF asked me if it had to look like someone coloured it in with highlighters... I wish I could have punched him. I should have punched him.
So what do you think? To be honest I didn't even read the blog post for this. I just took inspiration from the picture, but I have actually read it when I went back to get the links.

Thanks for reading!

#52weeknailchallenge: inspired by a photo tutorial

For this prompt, I opened Google, typed in "photo tutorial nail art", and scrolled through the images until I found one I liked. And it happened to be by Paulina's Passions. Below is the image I found, you can click here to take you to the original post.
So I'm not too sure what caught my eye on this one, but I liked it and this is my version.
Now I know Pauline is absolutely amazing and there is no way at all that I can do this any justice as she does amazing things with a nail art brush... So I cheated and used decals :P
I started with two coats of Ulta3 lily white on all my nails, top coated and waited for it to dry. I then used the stripes vinyls from Cherry Blossom Store. I then painted a coat of I love Hean black over that, removing the vinyls immediately. Once that was dry, I used my smallest dotting tool and Tip Top gold mine to make the dots, alternating the spaces on the black and white stripes. BTW any tips on getting nice clean dots? I can almost never get a uniform size or shape.
Then I cheated and added decals from alixpress... Because easy. No frustration. And I prefer the matte version. The first picture is shiny last two is matte.

What do you think? I decided on different coloured flowers as it wasn't really a valentine's day mani for me. I'll also see you guys again on Friday as we have our triad post (can't believe it's that time again), so no bday mani for this year!
